April 2025:  CAP Pathology Leadership Summit and Hill Day in Washington, DC 

CAP HOD CT delegates (left to right: Drs. Rinehart, Mitchell-Richards, Cadoff, Minerowicz, Oren, Mezzetti) met with Sen. Blumenthal's staff and 5 House Representatives during the annual Hill Day in Washington, DC on April 29th, 2025. 

Advocacy topics included: 

Support for Medicare payment stability with an annual inflationary update and reform to the Physician Fee Schedule's budget neutrality requirement.

Physician workforce shortage relief with Conrad State 30 and Physician Access Reauthorization Act (S.709/H.R. 1585), the Specialty Physicians Advancing Rural Care (SPARC) Act (S. 1380), and the Resident Education Deferred Interest (REDI) Act (S. 942/H.R. 2028).

March 2025:  CT Legislature Session opens

Dr. Jonathan Earle, CSP President, with the CSP Advocacy Committee and the College of American Pathologists submitted testimony in support of House Bill 7191 re: Medicaid Rate Increases, Planning and Sustainability.
